Forest rain, 3 hours with no music
Our very first video: three hours of rain falling through a forest, with no music laid over it. Just layers of rain, close and far.

What it is
Episode 003 on the channel, from September 2026, and the plainest video we make. There is no music, no tone and no voice: only rain, built from several layers so you hear near drops on leaves, a softer wash in the middle distance and a faint roar far away. The picture is a slow, dark forest-green scene with a rain overlay. It starts softly, settles in after about thirty seconds, then runs as an even bed for the rest of the three hours.
How to use it for sleep
Pick this one when you want rain and nothing else. Some people find that music, even quiet music, keeps their mind following the melody, and a voice can do the same. Set it low, start it at lights-out and let it run. Three hours is also a good fit for an afternoon rest: our nap calculator tells you when to set the alarm for a 20 or 90 minute nap.
Best for
Anyone who wants pure nature sound, people who are unsure whether they prefer rain or plain noise (our rain vs white noise guide helps), and naps. For a longer night, the tropical downpour runs 8 hours.
Sound design note
The rain is generated, not recorded: several bands of pink, white and brown noise shaped into rain layers, each with its own slow drift in level so the texture keeps moving without any one layer jumping out. The forest picture is also generated, a dark green canopy with a slow pan and a rain overlay, not stock footage. The video title on YouTube says “deep sleep”; on this page we will just say it is calm rain to relax and fall asleep to.
